STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Bible is the only written Word of God; it is inspired by Him and is wholly trustworthy and authoritative.      John 1:1   I Tim. 3:16     I Peter 1:20-21

There is only one God, who is revealed in Scriptures as three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.    Gen. 1:1    Matt. 28:19    Col. 1:16-18   Rev. 1:8

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His miracles, in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to the earth in power and glory.  Is. 7:14  Matt. 1:23  Heb. 1:1-8  Heb. 7:26

We believe in the necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit because of man’s sinful nature inherited from Adam; that man is justified only though faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and called by God’s grace to a personal repentance.  Romans 5:8  I Cor. 15:3-4  I Peter 1:18-19  I Tim. 2:5-6

Following a period of time for the new believer to grow in his walk with the Lord, in his understanding of the commitment to God and the need for baptism, there is a baptism of faith by immersion.   Matthew 28:19   Romans 6:3-4  I Peter 3:21-22

The believer should live a sanctified and holy life being a witness of God’s love and mercy to mankind.   John 17:14-16   Romans 12:2   I Thessalonians 5:22   James 1:14-15   I Peter 1:14-15   I John 2:15-17

Marriage is an ordained ordinance of God, a union between a man and a woman for life.  Mark 10:5-9 I Corinthians 7:39

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.  Daniel 12:2  |  John 3:16  |  John 5:28-29  |  II Peter 3:7-9

All authority is to be respected and obeyed; from government to teachers and school administration to parents.   Romans 13:1-4  I Timothy 2:1-2 I Peter 2:12-14

We believe in the gift of eternal life but realize we can become careless and complacent, return to sin and give up our hope of eternal life with Christ.  Matt. 25:24-30  |   John 15:1-7  I Tim. 1:18-20 & 4:1  |  II Peter 2:20-22  |  Revelation 2:10, 3:5, 3:16, & 3:21
