STUDENT LIFE Morning Devotions Pleasant Hope Academy is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Each morning faculty and students gather for daily devotions, organize the day's schedule and then break for classroom learning. General Classes Classes cover a wide range of subjects, giving each student a solid educational foundation which meets the Kenyan national curriculum. Our subjects include English, English Grammar Composition, Geography, History, Math, Religious Education, Science, and Swahili Insha. Skill Set Learning At Pleasant Hope Academy we teach beyond the classroom by equipping each student with skill sets they can use after graduation. These skills include Agriculture, Housekeeping, Knitting, and Sewing. Explore Student Life Computer Class Student's receive hand's on learning of computer applications and fundamentals. Physical Education Healthy and active bodies are parts of the equation for success. We offer Cross Country, General Sport Activity (in their classes), and Soccer. Giving Back As we have been given so we give back. Pleasant Hope Academy participates in cleaning up local public facilities and helping to organize a medical clinic for the community. Resources and Library We are excited to be moving into a new larger building where we can house more resources and material for the children. Check back for more updates as we continue to setup and develop this new facility. Music Music is a large part of the culture in Kenya as well as PHA. Students practice different forms of music regularly for worship and to learn new skills. Events PHA tries to keep events on the schedule that allow the students to look forward to a new exciting event in the future. Events can include trips into Nairobi or vacation bible school hosted by PHA.
